It all began in 1919 with a dream: Margret and Karl Voelkel settled in the rural Wendland region to live a self-determined life. Inspired by the Demeter idea, they cultivated a small piece of land and used a mobile press to juice fruit from their neighbours’ traditional orchards.
Today, Voelkel may well be the world’s largest exclusively organic juice producer.* As a family business committed to the common good, we process an exceptional variety of raw ingredients. We maintain long-standing partnerships with our suppliers and support biodiversity, traditional orchards and the expansion of organic and Demeter farming.
*Based on our research, we haven’t found a larger one. And in the interest of growing organic and Demeter farming, we’d genuinely be delighted if there were!
